By George Bridges

Tell us a little bit about your company and the services you offer.

CustomXteriors has been delivering the best customer service at the fairest prices in the county. We pride ourselves in installing projects correctly the first time: Spec homes, additions, finishing basements, installing windows & doors, roofing, decks, garages, and more.

What is one of the biggest challenges that people have when they're trying to stick to their remodeling budget?

The biggest challenge homeowner's face when trying to stick to budgets are selection of finishes and products.

How do you and your clients typically decide on the budget for a home remodeling project?

Budgets are the crux of all projects. We reverse the project process by starting with the finishes of an expected project. When a homeowner understands the true cost of trimmings, appliances, material species, material thickness, grade, and color (pre-finishes), a realistic project cost is usually self-realized by homeowners. Once this step is completed, selections then afford us the latitude to design aesthetically correct installations for homeowner within this new ideal price.

What are some of the key steps that can help homeowners avoid financial surprises during their remodel?

CustomXteriors stands behind contracted price. Only major unforeseen issues or homeowner change-orders should alter contractual pricing. Homeowners should select contractors that know the homes in the area, construction of project home, and municipal building codes to avoid surprises.

What advice would you give a homeowner who has a limited budget and is choosing from different bids for their building project?

CustomXteriors advises all prospective customers to obtain 2-3 estimates for each project. *All contractors should be kept honest; even if you like their workmanship. Secondly, always compare apples with apples. Material in all estimates should be the same; this is one of the most important aspects of project cost.

When can extra remodeling/building costs come up and how often does this happen?

Remodeling/Building cost changes are only common occurrences when homeowners don't obtain clear project details from contractor or contractors whom don't have the experience with product/manufacturer specifications or local building codes to deliver proper estimates. This should not happen and many questions should be asked once contractor ask for additional funding.

What's the best way for people to contact you and your company?

Of course all our estimates are free and via email or phone is best way to contact:
