By Kristen Bosse

Tell us a little about your company and it's foundation.

Originally our company was based off of emergency plumbing service. Doing jobs that other companies didn't want to do. For example, late night, weekends, and holidays. We built this company one customer at a time. We pride our business on repeat customers.

What is the first thing you tell people who are looking to remodel their kitchen?

If you have old galvanized pipes in the wall where the cabinets are going, definitely replace all old pipes. Remember it's the foundation of the kitchen, to make sure you have proper drainage, venting, and water supply.

What are some plumbing issues related to kitchen that I should be aware of?

Don't run plumbing on the outside wall. Your water line can freeze. Try to stub them up through the bottom of cabinets.

For those who can't afford an entire remodel of their kitchen, but wish to change a few things, what can you suggest?

Change front cabinet doors, add nice nobs, new counter tops if you can afford it. If you can't afford new counter tops, resurface them.

In your opinion, what is the most desirable design element in a kitchen?

Most desirable is the layout of the kitchen.

What is the best piece of advice for someone looking to remodel their kitchen?

Make sure you get wood cabinets, are made out of solid wood, not particle board. Take a close look at the inside of cabinets, make sure there isn't old galvanized pipes in the wall where cabinets are going. The last thing you need is to have to replace the pipes after the cabinets are installed.

What are some wasted areas of the kitchen I can eliminate to create needed space?

If you are tight for space in you're kitchen make sure you take some time to think about the layout, what you need, what you don't need, and what is really necessary. Keep your eyes and ears open for new ideas. Ask friends and family for their input. Every house is differently, it is up to your creativity to design something fabulous.

What are the necessary elements of a kitchen that I should be sure to include in my renovation?

Necessary elements when redoing your kitchen are cabinets, at least add new doors and knobs, countertops, or resurface your countertops, sink and faucet with new strainers. The flooring can stay if it is up to par.
